Job Description:
UniFirst Corporation, a leader in providing workplace uniforms
and protective wear, is seeking an Apprentice Fire Safety
Specialist to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in
ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection standards
across all facilities we service. The Apprentice Fire Safety
Specialist will work under the supervision of senior safety
specialists to learn and implement fire safety measures, conduct
risk assessments, and ensure that all fire protection equipment is
in optimal condition. This position offers a unique opportunity to
grow within the field of fire safety, focusing on preventive
measures and safety compliance in a dynamic business environment.
Assist in regular fire safety audits and inspections across
multiple locations. Support the installation and maintenance of
fire protection devices and systems. Participate in the development
and delivery of fire safety training programs for employees.
Compile and maintain accurate reports on fire risk assessments,
safety inspections, and follow-up actions. Work closely with senior
specialists to enhance existing fire safety protocols and response
strategies. Stay informed on the latest industry standards and
government regulations concerning fire safety. Basic knowledge of
fire safety codes and regulations. Ability to operate and maintain
fire safety equipment. Strong analytical skills for effective risk
assessment. Proficient in Microsoft Office for report generation
and documentation. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Medical Insurance Life Insurance 401k Fire Safety Certification
preferred (e.g., Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS)).
First Aid and CPR certifications are beneficial.
