Diego office of SmithGroup is seeking a Project Architect -
Healthcare to join our team.Working with us, you will:
- Lead a team of architects in completing technical documents for
complex projects (healthcare, science and technology, higher
education, commercial).
- Prepare, coordinate, and finalize construction document
packages.
- Oversee daily construction administration activities, including
coordination with contractors, owners, and consultants to ensure
project progress.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff.
- Establish and implement project work plans and staffing
requirements.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients.
- Participate in recruiting and performance management.
- Meet with owners and user groups to determine program and
planning requirements.An ideal candidate has:
- A bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of professional experience.
- Working knowledge of engineering systems and ability to
collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and
build trust.
- Strong mentoring, communication, and organizational
skills.
- High proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop,
Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Experience leading architects and project teams.
- Understanding of code implementation and jurisdiction review
processes.
- Knowledge of construction practices and methodologies.At

to $111,000 annually, with eligibility for performance-based
