develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster,
cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop,
integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable
our customers - the world's leading chipmakers - to reduce the size
and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn
leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our
headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18
office locations around the United States including main offices in
Wilton, CT, Chandler, AZ, San Jose, CA and San Diego,
CA.Development and Engineering (D&E) sector is responsible for
the specification, design and integration of the ASML machines. In
this sector, the Mechanical Development department (MDEV),
specifies designs and does the functional integration of the
various (sub-) modules and architectures related to the tin
mitigation hardware, tin handling, vacuum vessel, frames, flow and
thermal domains. D&E sector consist of discipline- and
function-oriented groups where emphasis lies on particular
knowledge/skills, architecture or modules in ASML machines. The EUV
lithography light source machine at ASML starts with understanding
the functional requirements, deriving specifications, and
overseeing design quality. The Mechanical Architect plays an
integral role in defining, documenting, and enforcing that
functional requirements are driven into the design in a practical,
safe, manufacturable, serviceable, and cost effect manner.Role and
responsibilitiesWe are looking for an engineer with a Mechanical
hardware and systems background to act in the role of Mechanical
Architect for part of the EUV light source. In this role you will
be responsible for defining mechanical requirements (structural,
flow, thermal, etc..), cross functional interfaces, configuration
strategy, and validation criteria for various EUV source modules.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and
enthusiastic individual with a broad technical background,
excellent communication skills, and ability to influence others.
You will collaborate with other architects and design engineers in
