We are seeking a driven--Electrical Estimator--to join the SES Civil and Environmental LLC (SCE) team, a subsidiary of SGC.--We are currently seeking a results-driven team player with the ability to manage a heavy bid list. This position will collaborate closely with the executive/marketing teams in both East/West coast operations to develop winning proposals! To be successful in this position you will be self-motivated and have a competitive edge. Responsibilities:
--- Must be able to prepare complete itemized conceptual estimates in support of negotiated opportunities for both medical and government clients
--- Assists in the calculation of material quantity requirements, gathering, and preparation of routine estimating data and compiling data for use in bid proposal estimates
--- Deals with owners and contractors to resolve technical and/or value engineering matters during the negotiation and contract execution
--- Analyze contractual documents and contract modifications to determine the scope of work and scope changes
--- Prepares weekly bid calendar and ensures timely completion of estimates
--- Reviews bid opportunities and outline the pros and cons of going after each project for a go/no-go decision
--- Reviews bid opportunity documents (RFP, Plans, and Specs) to identify critical trades where market bids are needed to bid on the project
--- Annually review bid day spreadsheet for cost revisions
--- Assist with the development of estimating procedures and guidelines

Qualifications:
--- Outstanding knowledge of planning, scheduling, hiring, budgeting, and job costing
--- Deep knowledge of commercial construction materials and methods
--- Strong management, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
--- Ability to perform difficult and complex estimating activities typical to the engineering and construction industry
--- Ability to work with engineering drawings and specifications
--- Ability to look at any construction project and break down the entire project into the required individual components (studs, nails, electrical boxes, breakers, control points, registers, rebar, steel structure, etc.)
