Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for the management of the
SBA loan portfolio including government guaranteed and conventional
loans. You will conduct in-depth analysis of risk associated with
the financial condition of existing and prospective customers to
recommend changes in the loan reporting of any given
customer.FunctionsProvide financial analysis for all types of
credit.Prepare written Loan Status Reports, CARE forms, credit
analyses, industry peer comparisons, cash flow analysis and updates
written industry studies.Manage, review and monitor, through a
tickler system, past due loans, and loan maturities, and follow up
for updated financial information. Research institution and
industry issues.Handle technical, often difficult loan functions.
Review and monitor commercial and/or real estate loan documents for
accuracy, completeness and adherence to approval conditions.Follow
up with customers to obtain all necessary information and
clarification on financial analysis materials and resources.May
work with attorneys and other financial or legal resources to
obtain correct and accurate documents to fully protect the
financial institution's interests in the credit
relationship.Resolve and/or restructure problem commercial loans
and manage them through to appropriate grading.Demonstrate
compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position,
and keep up to date on regulation changes.Maintain working
knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy
Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other
regulations that apply to your position.QualificationsBachelor's
degree or equivalent experience3-5 years of experience in
Commercial or SBA Lending with a minimum of 5 years of credit
analysis or loan review.Advanced Underwriting skillsExtensive
knowledge of government guaranteed products, processes, and
procedures.Advanced understanding of credit policy and
proceduresIndividuals and entities suspended, debarred, revoked, or
otherwise excluded under the SBA or Government-wide-debarment
regulations are not permitted to conduct business with SBA,
including participating in an SBA --guaranteed loan. Umpqua Bank is
responsible for consulting the System for Awards Management's (SAM)
Excluded Parties List System (EPLS) or any successor system to
determine if an employee or an Agent has been debarred, suspended,
or otherwise excluded by SBA or other federal agency.Physical
Requirements and Working ConditionsWork involves:walkinglifting up
