Electrical Revit Designer
Our company is looking for an experienced Electrical Revit Designer/ Drafter to become a vital member of the Tanner Engineering Electrical Consulting Team, located in La Mesa, CA. This position is for someone to work in the office - not a remote position.

In this role you would design/draft electrical 3D and 2D drawing packages for our many projects, using Revit and AutoCAD. In addition to designing and drafting you will coordinate with architects and other design professionals to receive and transfer files as required. We specialize in complex and detailed projects such as healthcare, data centers, Alternative energy, central plants, and education, and therefore require someone with a high attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities include (Based upon your experience) :

• Coordination of electrical drawing packages in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Setting up electrical drawings in BIM (Revit)
• Coordinating with and following client's BIM (Revit) procedures and standards.
• Creating electrical construction documents based upon red-lines and verbal direction given from project manager and engineers.
• Designing of electrical projects under supervision of engineers and project managers.
• Create drawings from rough sketches and specifications created by the engineers; prepare power plans, lighting plans, schedules, diagrams as requested.
• Manage, develop, modify families, blocks and drafting standards.
• Assist co-workers with Revit and AutoCAD questions.
• This position will be primarily in the office, consulting with co-workers, working in Revit or AutoCAD, and through the course of a week you could be working on approximately 1-10 different projects
  Qualifications:
  
  
  • Proficiency in the latest versions of Revit and AutoCAD MEP for modeling building systems
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Experience with all aspects of AutoCAD and Revit for MEP projects.
  • Understanding of how the BIM process applies from start to finish for a MEP project
  • Experience with BIM 360
  • Prefer minimum 4 years of BIM (Revit) and AutoCAD drafting experience in the building design and construction industry - Experience in REVIT MEP (Electrical).
  • Prefer minimum 2 years experience drafting or designing Electrical systems
  • Prefer experience or desire to learn to be an Electrical Designer
  • Certificate or Associate's degree a plus
