(GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Control Analyst to work within our Technical Publications and Training group in Sabre Springs, CA. With general direction, this position provides project status and maintains proposal and contract schedules.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows industry best practices for developing and maintaining logically linked horizontally and vertically integrated network schedules (Integrated Master Schedules) implementing critical path methodology (CPM), and performing schedule health assessments.Will require scheduling duties such as assembling and managing master schedules of multiple projects for multiple groups.Coordinates with the program team to build the program schedule per contract requirements. Develops Master Program Schedules (high level schedules) for assigned contracts and executive briefs. Coordinates with the program office and finance to resource load the program schedule for establishing a baseline. Supports the effort to ensure the baseline Integrated Master Schedule utilizes a company standard structure for cost tool import and analysis, WBS Alignment with charge structure, and includes dependencies to other programs. Coordinates the collection of and incorporates program schedule status on a recurring basis and assists program team in identifying schedule deviations, impacts to critical path, and facilitating work around planning. Support updates to remaining work for EAC development. Utilizes the information from the project schedule to update forecast and actuals dates, and review schedule status completeness Provides the functional management and program management team with clear, timely, and accurate information to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas. Report project schedule, status, timeline, and milestones from initiation to delivery to meet delivery goals.Coordinate departmental and/or cross-functional teams to assign and prioritize tasks focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products and/or services.Create progress reports, estimates, requirements documentation. May present results to management or program staff when necessary.Identify and assess project issues and develop recommendations for solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.May act as a lead providing direction and guidance to employees working on assigned project.May participate in the request for proposal (RFP) process to generate new business, including building Basis of Estimates (BOE), Rough order of Magnitudes (ROMs) or Budgetary Estimates (BE). Ability to support a full Earned Value (EV) contract as a Control Account Manager (CAM) including performance collection, Variance Analysis Report (VAR) writing, reporting on health checks, Estimates to Complete (ETC) and more. Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.Must have general knowledge of accounting principles, planning and tracking procedures and manufacturing systems in a research or production environmentPossess good organizational skillsAn effective communicator with the ability to write, interpret and explain programmatic issuesKnowledgeable and experienced with the following electronic software: word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, and project management. Must have a complete understanding of the concepts, and practices involved in analyzing multiple contract types: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Incentive (FPI), Fixed Price Level of Effort (FPLOE), Time and Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), and hybrid contracts.Requires an understanding of GAAP and FAR. Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
