Job Description:

In this role, you will be a self-driven team member who is adaptable to change to best service customers, support inter/intra office communication, and perform administrative tasks to help accomplish goals of the SBA Portfolio Management Team. You will have the primary responsibilities of managing compliance logs for insurance and property taxes. You will work within an environment of high work volumes and established deadlines on assignments that are highly complex in nature where independent actions and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations.Individuals suspended, debarred, revoked, or otherwise excluded under the SBA or Government-wide-debarment regulations are not permitted to conduct business with SBA, including participating in an SBA-guaranteed loan. Umpqua Bank is responsible for consulting the System for Awards Management's (SAM) Excluded Parties List System (EPLS) or any successor system to determine if an employee or an Agent has been debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded by SBA or other federal agency.FunctionsManage a full range of administrative and staff support services, including complex projects, analysis, and other responsibilities as directed.Close liaison with third party insurance service provider and tax service provider.Coordinate, prepare, monitor, process and upload commercial loan documentation as directed.Analyzes validity and adequacy of insurance coverage and acceptable proof thereof. Responsible for reviewing declarations to ensure it complies with related bank policies. Provide mitigation for any recommended waiver of insurance coverage.Review third party tax service reports. Monitor and resolve property tax delinquencies. Set-up and discontinue tax monitoring services as needed.Set up and monitor loan and financial ticklers to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Responsible for ensuring ticklers are accurate and updated timely.Obtain and log borrower financial information, including tax returns, financial statements, debt schedules, etc. Maintain accuracy of the financial tracking log.Order and review site visit reports to assess Real Estate and BPP collateral and operations of the business.Monitor and maintain accuracy of site visit tracking log.Code and submit invoices to Accounts Payable.Monitor existing loans to ensure complete conformity with terms. Follow up with customer to obtain all necessary information and clarification on financial analysis materials and resources.Review portfolio for loan maturities. Prepare and send maturity notices to borrowers.Assist SBA Portfolio Managers with obtaining, scanning, and archiving information required (such as credit reports, site visits, status of insurance and property taxes, appraisals, etc.) for processing servicing requests and/or loan reviews.Review and resolve a variety of customer problems/issues regarding bank products and services.Gather data and prepares regular or periodic reports pertaining to department functions.Prepare a variety of correspondence, reports, presentations, and other materials.Analyze problems, determines approach, compiles, and analyzes data, and prepares reports/recommendations.Resolve and/or escalate complex customer problems to appropriate resources.Coordinate activities between departments and outside parties in support of program implementation and administration.Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to the position and keep up to date on regulation changes.Maintain working knowledge of SBA SOP 50 57 and bank policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Information Security, and other regulations that apply to the position.May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.QualificationsProvide customer service, administrative support and inter/intra office communication support for the department.Nimble and adaptable to changes in process and practices.Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.Possess working knowledge of commercial loans, regulations, policies, and procedures.Demonstrated analytical, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Proficiency of computer software including Word, Excel, loan servicing systems and other office equipment.Ability to trouble shoot and determine best workflow practices.Demonstrated critical thinking with ability to work in a service-oriented environment with high work volumes and deadlines.4-7 years of advanced commercial loan servicing or equivalent experience, required.High School Diploma/GED, required.Associate's Degree, preferred.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsWork involves:Occasional walkingLifting to 10 poundsTravel:
