Job Description:

In this role, you will be a self-driven team member who is adaptable to change while providing customer service, inter/intra office communication support, and general administrative support for the SBA Portfolio Management Team. You will have primary responsibilities that include preparing loan documents in LaserPro, initiate booking of approved loan changes, manage financial tracking and site visit tracking logs, scan, and upload document, prepare letters, and submit invoices for payment processing. You will work within an environment of high work volumes and established deadlines on assignments that are highly complex in nature where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations. In addition, you will independently handle documentation and production tasks requiring knowledge of complex commercial lending documents, regulations, policies, and procedures. You will act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.Individuals suspended, debarred, revoked, or otherwise excluded under the SBA or Government-wide-debarment regulations are not permitted to conduct business with SBA, including participating in an SBA-guaranteed loan. Umpqua Bank is responsible for consulting the System for Awards Management's (SAM) Excluded Parties List System (EPLS) or any successor system to determine if an employee or an Agent has been debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded by SBA or other federal agency.FunctionsManage a full range of administrative and staff support services, including complex project, analysis, and other responsibilities as directed.Coordinate, prepare, review, monitor, process, and upload commercial loan documentation as directed.Work in close liaison with the SBA Loan Servicing and Support team to book loan changes and update official records.Analyze title insurance commitment reports including title exceptions and may be asked to prepare title/escrow instructions. You will be responsible for reviewing final title policy to ensure it complies with the title/escrow instructions and confirms that the bank's lien position is accurate.Assist with ensuring lien perfection on real property, business personal property/UCC, and titled vehicles.Set up and monitor loan and financial ticklers to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Responsible for ensuring ticklers are accurate and updated timely.Obtain and log borrower financial information, including tax returns, financial statements, debt schedules, etc. Maintain accuracy of the financial tracking log.Order and review site visit reports to assess Real Estate and BPP collateral and operations of the business.Monitor and maintain accuracy of site visit tracking log.Code and submit invoices to Accounts Payable.Monitor existing loans to ensure complete conformity with terms. Follow up with customer to obtain all necessary information and clarification on financial analysis materials and resources.Review portfolio for loan maturities. Prepare and send maturity notices to borrowers.Assist SBA Portfolio Managers with obtaining, scanning and archiving information required for processing servicing requests.Order third party reports (appraisals, credit reports, background checks, etc.) related to a loan action requests and loan reviews.Review and resolve a variety of customer problems/issues regarding bank products and services.Gather data and prepares regular or periodic reports pertaining to department functions.Prepare a variety of correspondence, reports, presentations, and other materials.Analyze problems, determines approach, compiles and analyzes data, and prepares reports/recommendations.Resolve and/or escalate complex customer problems to appropriate resources.Coordinate activities between departments and outside parties in support of program implementation and administration.Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position and keep up to date on regulation changes.Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations that apply to your positionMay be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsPossess working knowledge of commercial loans, regulations, policies, and procedures.Demonstrated analytical, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Proficiency of computer software including Word, Excel, loan servicing systems and other office equipment.Ability to trouble shoot and determine best workflow practices.Demonstrated critical thinking with ability to work in a service-oriented environment with high work volumes and deadlines.4-7 years of advanced commercial loan servicing or equivalent experience, required.Bachelor's Degree, preferred.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsWork involves:Occasional walkingLifting to 10 poundsTravel:
