About the Opportunity:- A renowned, award-winning, scientific research institute located in San Diego, CA is looking for a motivated Regulatory Biology & Gene Expression Research Assistant to join their team of experts.- The institute was founded by the developer of the polio vaccine and consistently ranks among the top institutions in the US in terms of research output and quality in the life sciences.- You will perform tasks and experiments to support the research priorities

Regulatory Biology & Gene Expression Research Assistant Responsibilities:- Performing a variety of lab techniques including mouse necropsy and tissue collection- Microscopy and H&E tissue staining- PCR DNA Sequencing- Upkeep, supply, inventory, and organization of the tissue culture facilities

Regulatory Biology & Gene Expression Research Assistant Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Biology, Animal Science, or a related field with a focus on Microscopy and/or Histology- Previous lab work involving obtaining samples, tagging, and DNA sampling weaning is preferred- Must have experience and must be comfortable handling mice
