Job Description Job Description Clinical Manager — Role Overview
Reports directly to the Medical Director San Dieo, CA This role is
designed for an operational leader who is comfortable operating
across levels of the organization. The Clinical Manager provides
senior-level administrative and operational leadership while
remaining sufficiently close to execution to ensure systems,
processes, and performance expectations are effectively
implemented. The position requires the ability to move fluidly
between strategic oversight, analytical decision making, and
hands-on operational leadership, particularly during periods of
growth, transition, or complexity. Key Responsibilities • Provide
administrative and operational leadership for clinical operations,
ensuring alignment with clinical priorities, regulatory
requirements, and organizational objectives. • Partner directly
with the Medical Director to translate clinical strategy into
operational frameworks, workflows, and performance expectations. •
Establish, monitor, and refine clinical operations KPIs,
dashboards, and reporting structures; analyze performance data and
present actionable insights to executive leadership. • Lead and
oversee performance management processes, including goal-setting,
documentation, coaching, and performance improvement planning, in
coordination with Human Resources. • Support and guide operational
managers while remaining engaged in operational detail as needed to
ensure effective execution, consistency, and accountability. •
Participate in workforce planning, role design, and staffing
assessments to support operational sustainability and scalability.
• Partner with Human Resources on employment-related matters such
as leaves of absence, accommodations, and corrective action
processes, ensuring compliance with California employment laws and
internal policies. • Lead the development, documentation,
implementation, and governance of clinical operations policies,
SOPs, and workflows. • Identify operational risks, inefficiencies,
and gaps; lead continuous improvement initiatives and change
management efforts. • Serve as a key liaison between clinical
operations, executive leadership, compliance, IT, and other
internal stakeholders. • Prepare and present operational analyses,
recommendations, and updates to executive leadership and leadership
committees. • Support audits, regulatory reviews, and corrective
action plans related to clinical operations. • Ensure operational
practices remain compliant with applicable regulatory,
accreditation, and payer requirements. Role Scope & Expectations
(Integrated Framing) • The role requires regular exercise of
independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
related to clinical operations, workforce performance, and
organizational effectiveness. • Operational engagement may include
direct involvement in complex or escalated issues to ensure timely
resolution and alignment with established standards. • Routine
timekeeping, daily scheduling, and task-level supervision are
generally delegated; however, the Director maintains accountability
for outcomes and consistency of execution. • Employment actions are
carried out in coordination with Human Resources and in accordance
with Company policy. What We’re Looking For • 5 years of
progressive experience in clinical operations or healthcare
operations, with increasing scope and accountability. • 3 years in
a senior operational leadership role (Director, Senior Manager, or
equivalent) with responsibility for performance management,
operational oversight, and administrative leadership. •
Demonstrated ability to operate across strategy and execution,
translating clinical or organizational priorities into workflows,
policies, and measurable outcomes. • Proven experience developing
and managing KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting. •
Hands-on experience leading performance management processes in
partnership with Human Resources. • Experience working directly
with physician leadership and executive stakeholders. Compensation
& Benefits • Salary: $130,000– $160,000 annually • Benefits:
