Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):$53.220 - $68.670 -
$84.121--The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp

skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal
candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the
position, and employer business practices.----What You Will
DoResponsible for the work schedules, assign duties, coordinate and
supervise staff. Assist with the interview process for new
applicants, draft policies and procedures for the department,
develop training tools, provide performance appraisals and assist
with coaching and counseling for improved performance. Responsible
for inventory, equipment, and assistance with fiscal budget
projections. Maintains billing and CPT codes in IDXRAD system. The
Lead is responsible for assisting in developing, implementing, and
evaluating cardiovascular performance improvement projects, while
overseeing cardiovascular quality data and analysts. Required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- 5 Years years of experience in hospital and/or medical office
environment with focus on data analysis, performance improvement,
quality assurance, or computer programming
- California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered
Nursing -REQUIRED
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS
Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIREDPreferred
Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- 3 Years clinical experience in Cardiac or Vascular areas.
- ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American
Heart Association -PREFERREDEssential Functions

- Daily operationsIndependently identifies problems and takes
appropriate actions in order to improve departmental
operations.Participation in departmental task force or Committee as
appropriate.Maintains and updates staff competencies with the
assistance of the Director of Cardiac Services. Updates
competencies as needed.
- Human resource managementPlans, organizes and delegates
procedures and responsibilities in a manner which optimizes
efficient and quality patient care.Completes work schedule (in
accordance to One-Staff Scheduling System), job assignments and
adjusts staffing according to volume and budgetary guidelines.
Coordinates and supervises all activities performed by the staff
including clerical and technical. Mentors all staff.Performs
performance appraisal for staff.Provides coaching, counseling, and
implements disciplinary action in conjunction with the Director of
Cardiac Services following SHC Human Resources Policies and
Procedures.Chairs or co-chairs meetings and coordinates continuing
education.Complies with hospital and department policies and
procedures.
- Project managementFacilitates successful performance
improvement through collaboration with medical staff leaders and
entity leaders to provide for patient safety and excellent
operational and clinical outcomes.Supports business development
projects by providing data analysis, forecasts, business modeling
and market research and collaborates with entity and system
partners on growth initiatives.Manages follow-up with teams/work
groups to ensure projects are completed and ongoing data collection
is managed and documented as needed.Provides report-out on team
process and outcomes to leadership-managers, directors and
executives.Completes other assigned projects including dealing with
unanticipated urgent assignments.
- Performance ImprovementDetermines and implements appropriate
performance improvement process.Able to lead performance
improvement and rapid action teams in projects, Work-Outs, Root
Cause Analyses and FMEAS.Works collaboratively with entity leaders
to set and achieve entity goals and meet individual annual
objectives.Maintains constructive and collegial relations and
collaborates with the medical staff leadership, risk management and
clinical/ancillary/support service managers/leads in
cross-functional process improvement, open communication and
problem solving.Provides education and technical support
specifically for the development, implementation and maintenance of
PI activities.Effectively uses ongoing monitoring techniques
including statistical analysis to sustain improved
processes.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Computer skills required. Current knowledge of JC, state, and
federal regulatory agency requirements, standards and regulations,
particularly those related to PI.
- Maintains confidentiality of hospital and department
information.
- Computer skills include intermediate to advanced knowledge of
word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation
programs.
- Must have advanced skills in analysis, problem solving, and
trouble-shooting. Ability to effectively work with Sharp
executives, management, staff, physicians, and others; to
communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; to achieve
results for the organization with and through people; to practice
good time management, and to demonstrate good leadership skills.
Ability to organize and coordinate data analysis for clinical
decision making, research, and program evaluation.
- Knowledge of healthcare environment; IS principles and
practices; the impact of clinical and financial data on the legal,
ethical, managerial, and organizational principles and standards
for acute general hospitals and integrated health systems.
- Ability to present information succinctly and accurately.Sharp
