What You Will Do
Masters or doctoral prepared nurse with Clinical Nurse Specialist Certificate who applies clinical expertise in evidence-based nursing practice within three spheres of influence; 1) patient/client, 2) nurses/nursing practice, and 3) organization/system in the following roles: clinical expert, educator, researcher, consultant and leader. Recommends and set the standard for professional nursing practice, establishes appropriate patient care measures, and evaluates outcomes.This Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) position is with Surgery Services with Sharp Grossmont Hospital. Surgery Services at Sharp Grossmont Hospital has 12-OR suites and performs all inpatient surgical specialties including Open Heart and DaVinci Robotic Surgery. Our Total Joint Replacement program is nationally recognized. Join our highly skilled and efficient team with the challenge of a fast-paced surgical department that performs 650-700 surgeries/month.

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree or doctoral prepared nurse.
• 3 Years recent clinical experience.
• California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing
• Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) - CA Board of Registered Nursing
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association
  Other Qualification Requirements
  • Certification in specialty area of practice highly desired.
  • Strong communication and leadership development skils
  • Proficient computer skills, such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel
