API wants to hear from you!Alvarado Parkway Institute is currently seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Registered Nurse Part Time (25 to 30 hours a week) for our NOC shift, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.Sign on Bonus for Full Time and Part Time RN's!Shift differentials for PM and NOC and weekend Shifts!DESCRIPTIONThe RN is responsible for the delivery of quality general and psychiatric nursing care to adults with emotional or psychiatric disorders. The RN position will serve actively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, supporting the organization and program philosophy of care; to ensure the safety and well-being of each patient.RESPONSIBILITIES

• The RN demonstrates sound leadership and strong communication skills
• Record of consistently high quality of clinical and interpersonal skills to be an exemplary role model to others
• The RN displays basic knowledge of treatment procedures / familiarity of psychotropic medications
• Interventions common to acute psychotic as well as to non-violent crises intervention practice
• The RN has basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the psychiatric patient population
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology especially those terms associated with psychiatric careREQUIREMENTS
  • Registered Nurse (1 year preferred)
  • Psychiatric experience (1 year preferred but not required)
