This role encompasses communication strategy and execution for both internal and external communication channels. Internally, the Director will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, coordination and optimization of ENGIE Impact's company-wide, communications and engagement strategy that facilitates greater employee awareness of ENGIE Impact's strategy, excitement towards driving that strategy forward and being an ENGIE Impact employee. Externally, this role will work to deepen the external understanding of ENGIE Impact's growth strategy, building awareness of key leaders and initiatives, and own external media strategy and relationships. This role will work with the most Senior Company officers to develop messaging, identify opportunities, and create content for internal and external consumption.Primary Functions and Responsibilities:Ownership and accountability for the development and execution of the corporate communications strategy, encompassing employee, client, and market stakeholder; develop annual communications plans that drive business and organization priorities to targeted audience through a variety of media channelsResponsible for public relations, executive communications, internal communication, and crisis communicationTarget opportunities for intentional and thoughtful exposure of key leaders in select business media and credible industry platforms that build ENGIE Impact's reputation.Drive the communications plan and messaging to support key senior leaders and company initiatives, which could include speeches, presentations, panel discussions, videos, and media.Collaborate with senior ENGIE Impact leaders across all functional and business areas to deepen understanding of ENGIE Impacts business and organization priorities for both internal and external stakeholders, understanding business strategy, goals, growth initiatives, and design programs that scale these initiatives to meaningful communications activitiesThrough a strong partnership with regional marketing leaders, maintain the strategic oversight of the public relations program.Proactively and strategically manage relationships with external partners, particularly ENGIE Impact's PR agenciesHelp enhance our employer brand externally through executive communications and initiatives focusing on culture, values, and purpose in support of company recruitment and retention efforts.Responsible for developing strategy and facilitating the progress of the employee communications and program strategic planning and execution deliverables, key risks, owning and reporting on budget, and ensuring the employee, business and market needs are being adequately addressed.Manages and develops Corporate Communications team to ensure exception execution and professional development, as well as opportunities for personal development and growth Do you tick all the boxes?We are looking for talented and motivated people to create the future of sustainability transition. MBA preferred Professional certifications associated with publishing, writing, communications field a plus.Skills And Abilities:Strong understanding of businesscommunicationsHas strong leadership presence, emotional intelligence, personality, integrative thinking and collaboration skillsAble to interact with all employee levels, particularly the C-Suite for strategy and feedback on critical communications needsAbility to build and maintain strong relationships across the business and proactively assess communications requirements and adept at fostering strong interpersonal and relationship management skillsAbility to make business strategy and direction relevant at a local levelSuperior skills in project management, comfortable juggling a multitude of projects and tasksAbility to be proactive and future thinkingComfortable in a fast paced and changing environmentHighly collaborative personality; with the ability to work with various teams in a diverse and complex environment; Understands the challenges and opportunities of internal communications, including appreciation for geographically and functionally diverse groupsAttention to small and important details, while also keeping your eye on the big pictureComfortable with MS Office, especially PowerPoint; experience with SharePoint preferredFamiliarity with Macromedia Dreamweaver, HTML and Adobe Photoshop would be an assetExperience10+ years experience in communications, particularly internal communications in a corporate environment. Experience leading internal communications strategies, campaigns and effective measurementExperience working in a communications agency a plus6+ years of managing teamsDemonstrated experience in communications strategy and planning, narrative creation, presentation development, and media relations and leading teams that have these responsibilitiesHas their own PR contacts in tier 1 and other recognized mediaWillingness to travel occasionally once restrictions are lifted, approximately 10-20%.
